Environmental Policy 2011
CMD Limited is committed to leading the industry in minimising the impact of its activities on the environment. We will promote improvement of the environment by reducing and minimising the reliance and usage of natural resources and materials, maximising recycling and the use of renewable resources whilst limiting pollution and environmental disturbance and comply with applicable legislation during the course of our manufacturing operations.
This will be implemented by considering the following objectives and developing a programme of continuous improvement measured against quantified targets.
• Control and minimise the use of natural resources by conserving energy and ensuring the efficient running and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Investigate and implement work methods that minimise materials usage, limit waste and favour the use of renewable, recycled resources.
• Encourage the recycling and reprocessing of on site materials or return to suppliers for reprocessing.
• Organise our operations to minimise environmental disturbance, including noise and limit pollution to earth and atmosphere by control and treatment of discharges where applicable / appropriate.
• We should, where possible, endeavour to influence our suppliers and customers specifications and working methods which are recognised as being beyond our control.
• Where possible we will use correctly maintained and efficient modes of transport to reduce pollution and improve economy.
