Power and Data Modules

29th, November 2011

At CMD, we specialise in supplying modern businesses with power and data modules that deliver reliable, safe and efficient power to end users whilst still maintaining a stylish and ergonomic design factor.

Typically even modern PC uses over £100 in electricity if they are left on every night of the year, so multiple that by your PC population and you are talking a lot of money. Our energy saving power modules are commonly known as eco2 Prime & Xpress and are our carbon reducing offering based on our standard range of power and data modules. Our Prime power and data modules allow the software to be network deployed giving stats as to how much energy is being saved, via unique software that uses signals generated by the mouse and keyboard activity, to indicate if the user is present at the desk or away. Xpress is a simpler version without the software technology but uses the standby function to cut power to all peripheral equipment. Both energy saving power modules typically offer payback within a year. All of CMD data modules conform to British Safety Standards legislation.

The software incorporated into the energy saving power modules includes a graphic user interface (a small information window that can be viewed on screen) which shows a running total of the energy saved at the desk over time in terms of kg CO2 emissions saved and kw per hour of electricity saved. This enables the user to maximise efficiency and minimise unnecessary power usage.
