Bringing together the three brands (DPG, Powerplan & Form Fittings) means it will be even easier for customers to manage their dealings with us as they will have access to a greater range of products
DPG & Powerplan rebrand as CMD
Why the re-brand?
CMD says the re-brand has always been on the cards, as it wants to operate under a single global brand that can set them apart and represent the essential differences to the competition. Since the management buyout back in June 2008, the three Directors claim to have developed the business to reflect CMD’s business model, values and efficiency. This in turn offers customers better value-for-money and improved customer service.
Steve Cole, Managing Director of CMD Ltd, says: "We know from speaking to our customers they don’t always realise the ‘Total Solution’ we offer. More commonly, we offer a number of value-added design services or product options that aren't always available from others or that can't be easily compared. At this point a re-brand is essential to help ensure the future success of our single entity business and win the battle for the customer's mindshare. We know time is a premium commodity these days and most people don't want to invest additional time without a strong sense that they will find a better answer. The more effort they have previously invested, the more likely they are to just accept the best solution they have found up to that point.
Bringing together the three brands (DPG, Powerplan & Form Fittings) means it will be even easier for customers to manage their dealings with us as they will have access to a greater range of products & services once the change is complete. With this in mind, the time is right to make the move to a single UK identity as CMD focuses on becoming an even greater powerful force in the Power, Ergonomics & Cable Management sector. The re-brand is more than just a name change. Over the last year, CMD has been moving its UK business into the 21st century by (amongst other initiatives) investing in a new CRM system.”
CMD says From 2010 its customers can expect a more 'seamless' customer service across its manufacturing facilities & office locations (Rotherham – Head Office, Preston & its London showroom in Clerkenwell) and an improved access to a greater portfolio of products. The re-brand will be completed by mid-2010.
