Traditional power distribution and supplies are limited by their use of technology with fixed functionality to provide constant often unused power, but intelligent power combats these limits through the use of cutting edge sensing technology. An intelligent power supply uses a microcontroller or digital signal controller to give you greater flexibility and control over how your power is utilised. At CMD we can develop desk power management solutions that incorporate this technology with our energy saving range entitled eco2. The use of intelligent power sensing allows you to control the power supply to the equipment at the desk. The power supply can be reprogrammed to cope with different IT hardware and peripheral items. This is particularly useful if you have an array of PC’s/Laptop’s/Thin Clients and users with different work patterns.
